You will ride through 20 miles of coastline roads, which stretch along the tempting turquoise ocean, as you push yourself through the island’s challenging winds. This will be a truly challenging and competitive race with some amazing athletes ready to conquer the island as the Mayans did 3000 years ago. Ironman Cozumel 2024
Cozumel Island’s privileged weather allows visitors from all over the world to be able to participate in world-class sporting events and to satisfy their adrenaline craving while practicing some of the most exciting activities in the world.
Ironman is the most demanding triathlon test in the world. The athletes that participate are expected to cover 2.4 miles swimming, 112 miles on a bicycle and 26.2 miles running. All three courses must be finished within 17 hours. The average finishing time is about 12 hours. The triathletes that participate must train very hard for about two years to be able to participate in this race so they can be able to cover such great distances. The athletes must first qualify in some prior races just to be able to participate.
